These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Gistilo (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Gistilo summarizes public video content and generates notes/insights for your personal or business use.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age required in your country). You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account.
You retain your rights to inputs you submit (e.g., links). Outputs generated by the Service (e.g., summaries/notes) are owned by Gistilo. We grant you a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use the outputs for your personal or business purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not resell outputs as a competing service or use them to train competing models.
AI‑generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate and is provided for informational purposes only. Fact‑checking and summaries may contain errors or omissions and are not guaranteed accurate. You must independently verify information before relying on it, and Gistilo is not responsible or liable for any decisions or outcomes resulting from inaccurate or incomplete data. Do not use outputs as a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.).
You agree not to: (a) violate laws or third‑party rights; (b) upload, request, or generate unlawful or harmful content; (c) bypass usage limits or interfere with the Service; (d) resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to others without permission.
If you use Gistilo with third‑party platforms (for example, by submitting public links), you are responsible for complying with those platforms' terms and policies.
All rights are reserved. The Gistilo name, brand, and design are our intellectual property. The Service and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us or our licensors.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, governing law) will remain in effect.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the lesser of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) US $50.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Vancouver, BC, except that mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence may also apply where required by law.
We may update the Service and these Terms at any time without prior notice (unless notice is required by law). We will post the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
